THE SPOTLIGHT'S ON . . .
(November, 1997) The Harrison Firm, P.C. is a law firm, which provides legal services to companies in western Virginia and elsewhere from offices in Roanoke. Its areas of practice are corporate and business organizations, international trade and transactions, contracts and commercial law, securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, franchising, employment, and business litigation. David G. Harrison is the principal of the firm. His experience includes having been the General Counsel of an American Stock Exchange listed company as well as 20 years in private practice. Mr. Harrison holds an MBA in corporate finance in addition to his law degree. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of International Trade located in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as other federal trial and appellate courts, and the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has also been admitted in the District of Columbia and the states of Tennessee and Oregon.

Mr. Harrison was invited by the World Law Institute to attend a high level summit at the Carter Center in Atlanta this year. The conference was held to discuss current legal issues and potential solutions to problems involving international trade and investment and other issues of the global economy. Mr. Harrison was also invited by the Central Bank of the Russian Republic and others to attend conferences held in Moscow in 1992 and 1993. The Moscow conferences were to advise Russian professionals on legislative proposals necessary to convert Russia to a market economy. Mr. Harrison is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of International Law and is listed in Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in the South and Southwest. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Roanoke Bar Association and is involved in many civic and church activities. |
